Educating Legislators

We continue to lobby for expanded legislation from federal, state and local authorities to support children who are blind or visually impaired.  Rocco Fiorentino, for whom the foundation was named after, was honored by the State of New Jersey for his Braille Literacy leadership in educating legislators on the importance of Braille to a child who is blind. Legislators allocated an additional $1.2 Million dollars to the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired for an increase in Braille Instruction and the hiring of six additional vision teachers.  With your efforts we can educate our government on the important of early education for children who are blind or visually impaired.
